Memories—Journies Revisited

Lens-Artists Challenge #418 – Memories

“Memory is a way of holding on to the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose.” — Kevin Arnold (The Wonder Years)

Memories can be sad, happy, joyful, sentimental but one thing is sure…they are embedded in us to resurface when we need comfort.

Fort Lauderdale and Key West…these images pop up whenever I think about our Caribbean Cruise. Cities with their own signatures that bring a happy smile.

Summer of 2026 visit to Osoyoos, Okanagon Valley British Columbia. A city of warm welcome with the only warm water lake in Canada. A warmth multiplied with the wafting forest fire smoke from across the border and local.

My carry on images…. sunset from Anarchist Mountain Lookout, part of the Monashee range, and located east of Osoyoos on Highway 3. The sad warm Osoyoos lake shrouded in smoke; and the omnipresent dividing line between USA and Canada

  1. You picked some beautiful photos for your memories. I loved the opening quote, too.
