Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #244-Glowing moments

Life is moments and how they impact us depends on our reaction to them. It could be a sunrise, a warm thought or simply nature in all its magnanimity. To quote Sogyal Rinpoche. “Light must come from inside. You cannot ask the darkness to leave; you must turn on the light.”

The bright glow of the rising sun was an instant mood lifter on a drive through Cancun streets. (Mexico)

Towel Origami. The hotel cleaning staff (Cancun) would place one each day…different shapes and sizes. It certainly brought a smile to our faces after a tiring day. “The glow of one warm thought is to me worth more than money”. Thomas Jefferson.

Wildflowers: The flamboyant eye-catchers along the drive to Chichen Itza, Cancun Mexico….light up the drab foresty hinterland. Stretching his hand to reach the stars, too often man forgets the flowers at his feet.” Jeremy Bentham

A mood swinger was seeing the waters break free of snowy restrictions. Our first outdoor spring walk of 2023 along Bow River pathway at Fish Creek Park, Calgary…”……There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature—the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter.” —Rachel Carson, marine biologist and author

  1. I liked the glow of the rising sun behind the fountain. The towel origami was beautiful and must have brought a glowing smile to your face!

  2. Wow that towel origami looks so interesting!👀✨ And they change every day!? I’d have to stay at the hotel long to see other versions😂💸

  3. What a great gallery of glowing moments on a trip to Cancun. It is truly a mood lifter. I love the rising sun, and the creative towels. The towels make it fun to come back to the room after it has been cleaned. Very nice.
