1 Day 1 World Project: 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

2pm…Pune, India
We stopped to have fresh sugar cane juice, attracted by the vermillion painted juicer-cart and the cool smile of owner. A refreshing 2 pm way to deal with anesthetizing summer heat (40° C ).

Pune… A neighbor of Mumbai, West India, the city of the gutsy Maratha warriors, the Peshwas, challenging the mighty Mughals and the Britishers. Today it is a city of Banyan trees, water tankers, ubiquitous mopeds and motor bikes mapping the city roads, colleges and military establishments.

Such oppressive heat must be overwhelming! The juice man has a sweet and friendly smile. Banyan trees really fascinate me. 🙂

Thanks so much for sharing your view at 2:00 in India! Sorry the temps were so hot but the juice cart owner’s smile is nice to see. 🙂

Oh wow (40° C ) that’s a “crawl into a cold place and hide all day with a large bottle of water” sort of heat – no wonder you stopped for a drink! Nice to see you in the project 🙂

That juicer cart would have caught my eye as well! what a bright and cheery color. And I would most certainly have needed liquid refreshment in that heat. Thank you for a glimpse into your afternoon.

Towards evening it would cool down as Pune is on a plateau.

The smile and color cooled the temp.
